RE: Request for Quotes
The Livingston County Library is asking for your company’s participation in submitting Request For Quotes for the Lillian DesMarias Youth Library, a branch location of the Livingston County Library, for replacement of one (1) HVAC unit.
Project 1: Complete unit replacement of 1 (one) unit Rooftop HVAC for the Lillian DesMarias Youth Library with current model industry refrigerate standards, with removal of old unit. Please list warranty specifications and details.
Scope of work includes:
- Labor and Materials for installation of new HVAC unit
- Labor and Materials for removal of existing unit
- Other specifications as needed to complete the project
- Timeline begins May 22, 2026 until project completion
The successful bid will need to provide bond or liability insurance verification, workman’s compensation insurance for hired staff, and require employees to be E-Verified or pass background checks or show proof of the same. Bids must have valid Contractor’s License or certifications or permits necessary from the City of Chillicothe and the County of Livingston, Missouri.
Inspection at the Youth Library’s building will be made in advance from April 27, 2026 to May 19, 2026 by contacting the Library Director, Sue Lightfoot-Horine at 660-646-0547 by phone or director@livcolib.org by email.
All bids must be returned to the Livingston County Library Director’s office by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Please mark the outside of the envelope, “Sealed Bid for Youth Library HVAC.” Address the bid as follows:

Bids will be accepted in person by dropping off at the Main Library or by postal mail. Bids will be accepted by email to director@livcolib.org with the email subject header “Sealed Bid for Youth Library HVAC” by Wednesday, May 20, 2026, by 5:00 pm.
The bids will be opened and read at the Board of Trustees meeting of the Livingston County Library Board on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 4:30 pm. The Board of Trustees reserved the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Only the bidder chosen will be notified on May 22, 2026.
